The classic beginner's bonsai – small leaves, fine branching and a forgiving nature that suits almost any home. This 16 year old Chinese Elm is already nicely shaped and ready to bring calm greenery to your home.
Chinese Elm is one of the most popular bonsai in the world because it is strong, adaptable and quick to respond to simple care. Its small green leaves build a naturally dense canopy, and it takes shaping well, so it looks good with very little effort.
The drip tray is the one shown in the picture — if you can't see a drip tray in the photo, the tree doesn't come with one; if you'd like a drip tray or other pot options, contact us privately at info@bonsainest.dk.
Extra tip: It tolerates the odd missed watering, but keep the soil from drying out completely and give it bright light, and it will keep growing steadily for years.
Every tree ships with a free care guide. Water when the top of the soil feels dry, give it a bright spot without harsh midday sun, and feed once or twice a month in the growing season. Questions? Write to us any time — care advice is free for the life of your tree.
