Description

A ready-to-use, free-draining bonsai soil mix in a 1 L bag, sieved to a 2–6 mm grain. It is blended for plants that want a very open mix.

What it does

An open, gritty mix built on akadama and pumice with lava and zeolite. The 2–6 mm grain and the fact that it comes pre-sieved, with only a trace of dust, keep the mix airy — water drains through and the roots stay oxygenated. The mix itself does the draining, so no separate drainage layer is needed in the pot.
