A hardy Mediterranean oak with thick, corky bark and a compact canopy of small, glossy leaves. This 15 year old Cork Oak is already showing the thick, corky bark that makes the species so distinctive.
Cork Oak is grown for its remarkable bark, which thickens into deep, corky ridges as the tree matures. It is tough and sun-loving, and with regular trimming it forms a dense, rounded canopy that settles beautifully into a balcony or terrace.
The drip tray is the one shown in the picture — if you can't see a drip tray in the photo, the tree doesn't come with one; if you'd like a drip tray or other pot options, contact us privately at info@bonsainest.dk.
Extra tip: Give it plenty of sun and airflow outdoors, and move it into shelter before hard frost. Trimming young shoots back to one or two leaves is the quickest way to build fine branching.
Every tree ships with a free care guide. Water when the top of the soil feels dry, give it a bright spot without harsh midday sun, and feed once or twice a month in the growing season. Questions? Write to us any time — care advice is free for the life of your tree.

If your tree is not doing well within 30 days of delivery, or you are not happy with it, contact us and we will replace it or refund you in full.
